COVID-19 Day 866
Arturo Fuente, Arturo Fuente Hemingway, Connecticut Broadleaf, Dominican Republic, Figurado, Hemingway, Maduro, Work of Art What more can I say about this “Classic” Arturo Fuente Hemingway Work of Art Maduro by Arturo Fuente?

Rich dark nuanced and some not-so-nuanced tobacco flavors are delivered from this exquisite cigar… today’s special treat! … Sweet earthy cocoa, leather, and dark coffee tobacco flavors come back to me. I can’t believe that I haven’t smoked this since last November (2021)!

These Arturo Fuente Hemingway Work of Art Maduros became kinda scares a while back and I was able to find some to restock the TupperDor, so I should be good to go for a while now.

COVID-19 Day 698
Arturo Fuente, Arturo Fuente Hemingway, Connecticut Broadleaf, Dominican Republic, Figurado, Hemingway, Maduro, Work of Art
Mmmm mmm good… What a treat to smoke this Arturo Fuente Hemingway Work of Art Maduro by Arturo Fuente today! This is another cigar that makes me feel like I’m getting away with something because these are so hard to find and rare… today’s the day; let’s get this puppy going!

Once lit, snug puffs produce sweet earthy cocoa, leather, and dark coffee tobacco flavors… just like I remembered them with a retrohale of mild leather… Man-0h-Man do I love this cigar!

The reason… today this Hemingway Work of Art Maduro reminds me of Chocolate Soufflé and Coffee… which reminds me of another cigar that I have my mind on in the Le Carme by Crowned Heads. I just may have to pull one out and compare it to this Work of Art Maduro.

I’m glad I stocked up on these… Until next time…

COVID-19 Day 607:
Arturo Fuente, Arturo Fuente Hemingway, Connecticut Broadleaf, Dominican Republic, Figurado, Hemingway, Maduro, Work of Art Eureka! This Arturo Fuente Hemingway Work of Art Maduro by Arturo Fuente and I have reunited once again after more than a year! These Hemingway Work of Art Maduro cigars are hard to find and I think they will be even more difficult to find with all the rumors of Connecticut Broadleaf tobacco becoming scarce these days.

Another thing I found out about Perfecto Cigars is that they are intended to burn slowly, in the beginning, to deliver more flavors directly from the wrapper leaf. Because the draw on the Work of Art is pretty much flawless, I had no challenges accessing its flavor at the start of the beauty!

Right away, everything I love about this blend is speaking to me… Dark rich coffee, sweet dark chocolate, along with a retrohale of black pepper spices… I’m loving this cigar after more than a year since I last smoked it.

I’ll be carefully rationing my recently acquired stash but will certainly pull this out again in a couple of months… Until next time…

Arturo Fuente, Connecticut Broadleaf, Dominican Republic, Hemingway. Work of Art. MaduroYesterday, I had the opportunity to reach into my travel humidor and pull out an Arturo Fuente Work of Art cigar. This cigar always catches my eye lately, maybe it’s because of the large Figurado shape with the foot ring gauge at around 60 toward the cap, the ring gauge is around 46, making the perfect draw.

A snip and a cut and I receive warm rich earthy tobacco and some cocoa and coffee in the background.

By now everybody knows that I love Connecticut Broadleaf and today is no different. Deep rich complex flavors envelop me and I pause from the conversations around me to enjoy this little powerhouse of a cigar. Smooth rich earth, leather, cocoa and a hint of coffee keep me company. My retrohales are perfect with just the correct amount of smooth pepper spice.

Yep, I keep saying this is a winner, so I guess I should stock up.

Box Worthy!

I’ve always and will probably always have a soft spot in my heart for Arturo Fuente “Classic” line of cigars and I’m not talking about those “Unicorn” hard-to-find cigars that are cost-prohibitive. You know what I mean…

This short 4-inch cigar brings back memories of the Fuente Short-Stories I smoked without hesitation about 20-years ago on a regular basis. The difference this time is well, cost and my wiliness to pay attention this time around.

This little dynamo of a cigar is beautifully constructed for a cigar for this different Figurado shape. It starts out with a 60-gauge footer and tapers to a 46-gauge cap.

A snip and cut provide a cold draw of earth, tobacco flavors, and sweet coffee. Once lit, a tight draw produced dark rich earthy tobacco and coffee with a very mild pepper spice on the retrohale.

I decided to snip a little more off the cap and I’m glad I did. I’m almost at the Apex of the girth and the smoke is pouring and delivered freely now.
