Andalusian Bull by La Flor Dominicana

10/31/2019
I’m putting the Andalusian Bull by La Flor Dominicana to bed. Thank you, Ralph Larson, for the gifts.

I’ve smoked two of these almost one year apart and nothing was there to make me change my first impression.

Thank you

From the old-school shape from a long-since-retired cigar mold that Litto Gomez tracked down in Belgium. Coming in one size only, a rustic-looking Figurado, this gem takes you back to the golden age of cigars. (from Cigar Aficionado)

I was waiting with great anticipation to try this cigar with my new awareness of my palate and returned experience.

This is a very majestic cigar at 6-1/2 inches and a ring gauge at the foot of 64. I carefully snipped the cap about a quarter of an inch that ended up giving a tight draw and delivering less than the amount of smoke I was looking for, but I’ll deal with it and see… I smoke on…

So what; Nothing too impressive at the start.

The usual EarthWoodLeather start to appear in the middle of the first third after this “Bull” has warmed up. A couple of touch ups along the way to help the burn. I didn’t want to chance any wonky burns later on.

I continue to pay attention; Halfway through I snipped off another quarter inch off the cap because I was struggling to get my mouthful of smoke that I deserved…

Hmmm, Malty; I’m happy now. Let’s see what else develops.

Someone walked into the cigar lounge after bathing in cologne … Uggggh

This cigar chugs along just fine and dandy and then at the last third, she speaks to me with ramped up flavor and complexity. Nice! #SakamotoHappy!

This morning’s Instagram post I titled this “Fact or Fiction”; what all the fuss about Fellas? I have another Andalusian Bull that I think I’ll lay down for a few months and see if there will be a difference.
