Aladino Corojo Reserva

Another day, another time, it’s time to smoke this highly acclaimed cigar again.

A straight-cut snip and a clip on this Aladino Corojo Reserva by JRE Tobacco and I’m off on my second experience with the Aladino Corojo Reserva this morning.

My first cold draw provides of all things baking spices with little resistance on a loose draw. Let’s see if this creates any challenges.

Aladino Corojo Reserva, Corojo, Honduran, Honduran Corojo, JRE TobaccoOnce lit, the smoke pours out. Earthy tobacco is present with some sweetness in the background along with baking spices on the retrohale. At the halfway point leather shows up and the pepper spice makes itself known to my sinuses on the retrohale.

This was a fun cigar to smoke although I had a wonky burn and had to retouch this a few times. I wonder what some more time resting this cigar would do for the experience?

This is a “spendy” cigar, so I don’t know when I’ll be trying this again unless I find a fantastic online price or something. I purchased the few that I’ve tried from Sellwood Cigar in Portland, Oregon.

For special occasions, this Honduran Corojo Puro cigar is a keeper. It might be too expensive for me to smoke on a regular basis, but I loved what I experienced.

This cigar started out like I thought many of my most recent sticks only claim… Full-Bodied complex flavors of creamy chocolate, cinnamon, black pepper, leather, and earth. I’m glad I bought two from Sellwood Cigar. I can’t wait to blaze this again.
