A.J. Fernandez New World (BP)

12/01/2019
I can’t believe that this will be the first time I’ve smoked the A.J. Fernandez New World cigar especially with its Nicaraguan Oscuro wrapper.

I’m very familiar with the delicious A.J. Fernandez New World Puro and have been a fan ever since I discovered them way back at the beginning of my return to the cigar hobby. Today’s the day to discover something new.

After a V-Cut on this box-pressed cigar through a perfect draw come volumes of creamy smoke of subtle cocoa and black pepper that coats my tongue. The retrohale at first was a subtle version of black pepper spice… as I progressed it ramped up a bit and that’s a good thing.

Approaching the second third… coffee has joined the party along with some creamy cocoa and earthy leather. Black pepper still hangs on my tongue that compliments the spice on the retrohale. My smoke time is at 40 minutes

At the last third, coffee flavors come to the front along with black pepper taking over; coating my tongue for a lasting finish. The retrohale at this point has ramped up too. If I’m not careful, it will make me shed a tear or two.

I’ll be back for more from this very affordable cigar in the A.J. Fernandez New World.
