Tatuaje 7th Capa Especial (Sumatra) by Tatuaje Cigars

01/25/2022
COVID-19 Day 674:
Of course, it had to be a Tatuaje Tuesday for my inaugural experience with this Tatuaje 7th Capa Especial (Sumatra) by Tatuaje Cigars.

I had been curious about this 7th Capa Especial but never took any steps to try it until this year on my Sumatra Wrapper journey for 2022. So at the recommendation of Isaac Miller now at 11th Avenue Liqueur, I committed! After all, I’m a huge fan of the Tatuaje Cojonu line and I’m hoping that some of that is reflected in this specimen.

Once lit, with an open mind, I’m detecting smooth creamy cedar and natural tobacco flavors through a smoky draw with a black pepper finish that enhances the retrohale at the first light and puffs.

As I move along into the second third, I’m not getting many other tobacco flavors that some rave about for this cigar. Fortunately, I have a few more that I’ll try in another month or so to see if anything changes.

So, so far, not bad. I was hoping for the moon that I know is unrealistic, but hey I can be hopeful.

Until next time…
