Balmoral Añejo XO Oscuro Rothschild Masivo

OK, how can anything be bad with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper? I know, a bit of an over-the-top comment to make, but to look at this Balmoral Añejo XO Oscuro, Yesterday’s Dream Cigar; it’s beautiful. I’ve been waiting since last October to get reacquainted with this cigar again.

Añejo XO Oscuro, Balmoral Cigars, Mexico San Andres, Robusto, Rothschild MasivoMy pre-light straight-cut cold draw sent me notes of dry cocoa with the correct amount of resistance.
Once lit, tons of full rich earthy smoke comes forth; there’s a hint of something that tastes like mushrooms or black olives in there somewhere too. #SakamotoHappy, I’m smiling, these are the flavors and cigar experience that I remember.

At the last third the flavors have ramped up and smoothed out along with the strength; I can feel my cheeks are starting to sweat.

Time to order some lunch.

Stay Chill
Stay Smoky

Today will be the second time I’ve smoked the Balmoral Añejo XO Oscuro Rothschild Masivo since last October at a Cut-Light Event at Sellwood Cigar with Balmoral Rep Zev Kaminetsky (@zevffrey).
