1994 Rumba (Toro) by La Flor Dominicana (LFD)

COVID-19 Day 254:
1994, Dominican Republic, La Flor Dominicana, La Flor Dominicana 1994, LFD, LFD 1994, Mexican San Andres, Rumba, Toro This was my First Time today with this 1994 Rumba (Toro) by La Flor Dominicana (LFD).

Right off the bat, the aromas off the wrapper came to me in mineral and floral tobacco notes that are quite different than what I’ve come to expect from the LFD cigars that I normally smoke. I was expecting something a little earthier and full-bodied being that this is a Mexican San Andrés wrapped cigar.

The first third was definitely a different start to an LFD cigar… going into the second third some familiar flavors start to appear in the way of some cocoa and the earthy tobacco flavors start to appear.

The 1994 Rumba (Toro) by La Flor Dominicana is a cigar that definitely had me on my toes as it turned out to be a very enjoyable cigar to smoke. The draw was perfect with just the correct amount of resistance needing no double puffs and producing plenty of smoke with just a kiss. A more refined and nuanced cigar for sure.

I have another one of these resting in the TupperDor that I’ll revisit in a few months or so… Stay Tuned!

Stay Smoky
Stay Chill
